About Us

The Anglican Diocese of Sydney has a concern for how our society operates and how Christians can live as God's people in our social context. It seeks to help Anglicans and others to think through social issues from a Christian perspective, and to help them in their daily lives as they interact with their world.

The Social Issues Committee is a sub-committee of the Standing Committee of the Diocese. Its members are appointed by the Standing Committee.

Current members are:

Mrs Emma Penzo (Chair)

Dr Megan Best

The Rev Dr Andrew Ford

The Rev Dr Chase Kuhn

Dr Darren Mitchell

The Very Rev Kanishka Raffel

Mr John Ryan AM

Ms Simone Sietsma
